Amongst others we are presenting a special walk with Sydney based Anne Warr - author of the Shanghai Architecture guide and founder of WALKSHANGHAI - who is coming to Shanghai this month: Shanghai Expat Women of the 1930s - Where they lived, worked and played.

A Benefit Valentine's Concert Featuring Filipino Musicians

This Benefit Valentine's Concert is meant to host the very best talents in one night's concert in the month of the hearts on February 12, 2012 at Luneta Restaurant.

With love in our hearts, let's be involved and be counted to "LEND A HAND" to those who had met unfortunate situations and are in need of our HELP. Victims of children and families from Sendong Typhoon Calamity in the southern part of the Philippines need our encouragement to have the strength to rebuild their homes and livelihoods. We can give that encouragement to them by our participation in a community - wide effort to gather our generous contributions in one event. Let our love pour out to warm the cool air around Shanghai as professional and talented artists serenade you on this Valentine's presentation.

Feuerzangenbowle im German Centre

Am Freitag, dem 9. Dezember ab 18:30 Uhr ist es wieder soweit. Im German Centre findet die traditionelle Feuerzangenbowle-Party statt. Wir laden Sie ein, einen Abend mit original Feuerzangenbowle, zahlreichen anderen Getränken und leckerem Essen zum kleinen Preis zu verbringen.

Christmas Tree Lighting

Feiern Sie mit uns den Start der Weihnachtssaison! Am 30. November 2011 ist es wieder so weit, der Weihnachtsbaum im Atrium des German Centre wird feierlich um 10.00 Uhr erleuchtet und leutet damit die gemütliche Jahreszeit ein.

Begleitet wird der Event von dem Kinderchor der Child Academy in Shanghai, welcher fröhliche Weihnachtslieder anstimmen wird. Für das leibliche Wohl sorgt Abendbrot mit frischen Weihnachtskeksen und Getränken. Und für kreative Teilnehmer gibt es dieses Jahr auch etwas zu gewinnen.

Shanghai Philharmonie Orchester Seminar

Tauchen Sie in die Welt der klassischen Musik ein! Am 12. November 2011von 13:30 - 15:30 Uhr findet in der Halle des Shanghai Philharmonieorchester eine Lesung zum Thema "In der Welt der klassischen Musik - Die Gefühle Beethovens" statt.

Unter der Leitung von Zong Xiaojun, bekannter Kunstmanager und seit 2010 Assistent des Shanghai Philharmonieorchesters werden Sie in einem Vortrag an die Geschichte und Charakeristika der klassischen Musik herangeführt. Anschließend haben Sie die Möglichkeit sich mit anderen Teilnehmern in einer Diskussionsrunde auszutauschen.

Die Shanghai Philharmonie Orchester Tea Time findet in der Halle des Philharmonieorchesters in der Wuding West Road 1498, nähe Jiangsu Road statt.

River Cities – An Orchestral Gala from the Heart of London

Allied China Europe Society is organising an Orchestral Gala on Saturday April 9th at 2.30pm at the Shanghai Concert Hall. Celebrating the link between our two “river cities”, this concert will reach out from the heart of London to celebrate the Lord Mayor’s visit to Shanghai. By using culture and the arts to build bridges of friendship, the concert will be a strong symbol for UK/Chinese cultural relations, complementing the growing trade and economic links. The Orchestral; Gala will be performed by artists from Concordia Foundation, of which the Lady Mayoress is an Honorary Patron.
